March to April Market Activity 2018

In Fulton County, 650 homes sold in late March to mid April (see blue bar at the top of graph). That’s up 9% from the previous 2 week period lasting from mid to late March which sold 599 homes (see red bar on top of that blue bar). During the same time period, 1,107 homes were listed, which is down 3% from the previous 2 week period at 1,143 homes (see second set of bars from the top).

In Forsyth County, 181 homes sold in late March to mid April. That’s up 27% from the previous 2 week period lasting from mid to late March which sold 142 homes. During the same time period, 317 homes were listed, which is down 6% from the previous 2 week period at 336 homes.

In Cobb County, 488 homes sold in late March to mid April. That’s up 22% from the previous 2 week period lasting from mid to late March which sold 399 homes. During the same time period, 742 homes were listed, which stayed exactly the same from the previous 2 week period at 742 homes.

2 Main Takeaways

1) the market’s listing and selling pace has been similar over the past month and without any major jumps - signaling a healthy market for the summer

2) it’s still a good time to buy (before amount of listings decreases and demand for homes increases) even though more buyers are coming into the market and “solds” are climbing towards “listed” numbers
